The morning after the end of the world (as indicated in the movie 2012), the sun will come up, the birds will start chirping, people will get out of their beds and get ready for work. Moms will hug their kids and everything will pretty much be like it was the day before the end of the world.

The Asymptote Pizza Theory (Special Order)

“They don’t think that if they’re so fast, they might crash. And the result… DISASTER.”

Di sana hindi mo to nababasa.

Madaming nagtatanong sakin, “May gf ka na no?” Sagot ko naman, “Huh? Bakit, kailangan ba? Anu ba yun, nakakain?” Tapos sasabihin nila, “Ako din wala pang bf.” Tinatanong ko ba? ha.ha.ha. Edi good, parehas tayong bitter, kaya better friends na lang.

Speaking of bf / gf / jowa / shota, I still feel awkward seeing young people having their relationship routine in public, with their hands holding while walking, pa sway-sway pa na para bang sila lang ang tao sa mundo… WAGAS!!! (Caps lock para EXTREME). And I don’t mind if you call me BITTER when I say, “Sus, maghihiwalay din yan.” (at mangyayari nga) Sino ngayon ang bitter? ha.ha.ha. Edi ngayon, ako ang better cause I know how to preserve my heart?

Back on the title.

May ½, ¼, 1/8, and so on…

Asymptote. Pinag-aaralan natin to sa algebra at sa analytic geometry kapag nagra-graph. Ayon sa wikipedia, an asymptote (/ˈæsɪmptoÊŠt/) of a curve is a line such that the distance between the curve and the line approaches zero as they tend to infinity. Sa madaling sabi, parang ikaw at ako lang. Pwedeng maging close, pero di pwedeng maging tayo. BOOOOOM!!!

But here’s the scenario:
Ang mga kabataan ngayon ay masyadong nagmamadali. (hindi naman kasi mauubos ang tao sa mundo, pwera na lang kung Armageddon na). May nakita ka lang na maganda, sexy, or any characteristic na hinahanap mo sa isang tao, akala mo agad, yun na! Kukuhanin agad ang number, tapos textmate, then chat-chat, after that wala nang ligaw-ligaw, M.U. na agad! Eh anu pa bang ie-expect natin? Next part is having a relationship.

And that’s the common mistake of youth nowadays. They’re entering a relationship without valid reasons (JUST THEIR FEELINGS). They always trust their own feelings, not knowing that feelings are not always genuine. Many of them are illusions of flesh. Pero masaya ka naman, in love eh. Then, biglang papasok yung AWAY-BATI, AWAY-BATI, at kapag tumagal, AYAW-BATI! And then, BREAK na!!! (buti sa klase no? masaya kapag break). Tapos iiyak ka!

Back on the theory, isa lang ang puso ng tao, right? And the time na nagbreak kayo ng taong nakarelasyon mo, kalahati ng puso mo ang naiiwan sa kanya (don’t take it literally, nakakatakot yan :D).

Natural HINDI!!! Kaya IIWANAN ka din nya!!!

So ano na??? ¼ na lang ang puso mo!!! Paano yan??? And the process will goes on and on and on. At first, you have a whole heart. Then ½, ¼, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64… and so on. Like an asymptote, it approached 0 or nothing, but never touched it.

But here’s the problem:
What if nakita mo na ang taong pakakasalan mo? At dahil hindi mo maibigay yung buong puso mo, the relationship will not work. Either it’s because of you, or because both of you (if your partner goes with the same cycle).

But still, the suffering will not end there. Your children will inherit those characteristics even though it is not genetically transmittable. Kasi yun ang nakita nila sa inyo. MASAKIT di ba? Kasi yun yung TUNAY...

This is a big problem in the society today. Youth tends to make things in a fast forward mode. They don’t think that if they’re so fast, they might crash. And the result… DISASTER!!! They are just wasting their time to someone they are not sure of spending their whole life with. Why not cherish the days of their youth in a productive and memorable manner? Why not spend time with God, family, studies, sports and bonding with friends? If we do, in the end, no one will suffer.

SO FROM NOW, PRESERVE YOUR HEART FOR SOMETHING EXTREME AND SPECIAL!!! MALAY MO, AKO LANG PALA HINAHANAP MO??? MAHIYA KA NAMAN!!! BUO PA ANG PUSO KO!!! :D

Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, "Life is not pleasant anymore."

Everything Is Beautiful

Sin ravages a fruitful life
When it is not addressed;
But God restores and makes us right
Once sin has been confessed. —Sper
     The beauty of the black lacy design against the pastel purple and orange background grabbed my attention. The intricacy of the fragile pattern led me to assume that it had been created by a skilled artist. As I looked more closely at the photo, however, I saw the artist admiring his work from a corner of the photo. The “artist” was a worm, and its work of art was a partially eaten leaf.

http://static.desktopnexus.com/thumbnails/33404-bigthumbnail.jpg

     What made the image beautiful was not the destruction of the leaf but the light glowing through the holes. As I gazed at the photo, I began thinking about lives that have been eaten by the “worms” of sin. The effects are ravaging. Sin eats away at us as we suffer the consequences of our own bad choices or those of others. We are all its victims.
     But the photo also reminded me of the hope we have in God. Through the prophet Joel, God said to Israel, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten” (Joel 2:25). And from Isaiah we learn that the Lord appointed him to “console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes” (Isa. 61:3).
     Satan does everything he can to make us ugly, but the Light of the World can make us beautiful—despite Satan’s best efforts.
God doesn’t remove all of our imperfections,
but He makes us beautiful by shining through them.

Rotating Tower

Rotating Tower, Dubai, UAE

Have you ever seen a building in motion that actually changes its shape?
Sounds unbelievable but not to Dr. David Fisher. This building will never appear exactly the same twice.

It is amazing but you will have the choice of waking up to sunrise in your bedroom and enjoying sunsets over the ocean at dinner.

In addition to being such an incredible engineering miracle it will produce energy for itself and even for other buildings because it will have wind turbines fitted between each rotating floor (picture 2). So an 80-story building will have up to 79 wind turbines, making it a true green power plant.

PBA Finals Game 2

Castro helps TNT tie Commissioner's Cup title series with B-MEG

Talk 'N Text's Jayson Castro (left) challenges the defense of B-MEG's Mark Barroca.Jason Castro, ineffective in the finals opener, made the shots that mattered most to help Talk 'N Text escape with a 104-102 win over B-MEG to tie their best-of-seven title series in the 37th PBA Commissioner's Cup Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Castro, with the Llamados holding on to a 99-94 lead with one minute and 38 seconds remaining, scored six straight points including the three-pointer that gave the Tropang Texters the lead for good at the 35-second mark of the fourth.
Both teams exchanged misses in a 20-second span with B-MEG import Denzel Bowles committing a costly turnover that could have changed the outcome of the match.
Talk 'N Text fans celebrate the Tropang Texters' Game Two win.Bowles, after grabbing the rebound off Kelly Williams' second missed free throw attempt, forgot that B-MEG still has a full time-out left and opted to throw an outlet pass to an already running Peter June Simon.
Talk 'N Text reinforcement Donnell Harvey managed to block Bowles' pass to Simon with Ryan Reyes picking up the loose ball. Reyes got fouled to stop the clock and made both free throws to give the Texters a three-point lead, 102-99, 8.2 ticks left.
Bowles split his free throws at the other end with Jimmy Alapag, who was limited to three points the entire game, sealing Talk 'N Text's win with a pair of free throws at the other end.
Castro scored 23 markers on 10-of-12 shooting from the stripe to support Harvey's 29-point and 14-rebound performance.
JAMES Yap of B-Meg trips as he tries to split the defense of Talk ‘N Text’s Larry Fonacier (right) and Ranidel de Ocampo (left).B-MEG's loss wasted Bowles' game-high 33 points and 13 rebounds and James Yap's 25 markers on 5-of-8 clip from the three-point range.
The Llamados fell behind early in the match with the Texters opening with a 5-0 run before settling for a 24-16 spread after 12 minutes of play.
Both teams battled through several scoring spurts and lead changes up until the final two minutes where B-MEG squandered a five-point lead and Castro carrying Talk 'N Text on his shoulders.

Scores:
Talk 'N Text 104—Harvey 29, Castro 23, Reyes, 13, Peek 12, Williams 8, Dillinger 6, De Ocampo 6, Fonacier 4, Alapag 3.
B-MEG 102—Bowles 33, Yap 25, Urbiztondo 15, Simon 10, Pingris 9, Barroca 4, Devance 4, De Ocampo 2.

PBA Finals Game 1

Sure-shot Simon leads B-MEG to game one win over TNT

Denzel Bowles and the B-MEG big men played taller than their counterparts in Game OneThe B-MEG Llamados captured game one of the PBA Commissioners Cup Finals by out-running the normally up-tempo Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters and banking on the scintillating shooting of Peter June Simon, eking out an 88-82 victory Monday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Llamados broke the game wide open early with a 17-3 run that turned an 8-11 deficit into a 25-14 first quarter advantage, with six different B-MEG players chipping in that stretch, capped by a Joe Devance score off an offensive board before the buzzer.
"I think we showed our depth today," Llamados head coach Tim Cone said after the game. "B-MEG is a really deep team. I'm just learning to how to use that depth."
Early offense by Raffy Reavis and JC Intal doubled TNT's output at the onset of the second period, 28-14, but the Texters slowly began to find their rhythm behind their big man Donnell Harvey, who had 11 of his 15 first-half points in the second quarter. Back-to-back conversions by the Talk 'N Text import had them within seven, 47-40, but Devance again gave B-MEG the last word, splitting charities to make it an eight-point lead headed into the break.
The defending champions Talk 'N Text were stymied by the Llamados' defense.Out of the intermission, and after first blood was drawn by James Yap, the defending champions reeled off a 12-4 run to creep within two points, only for the Llamados' import Denzel Bowles to rock the rim with a thunderous slam, 56-52.
TNT countered with a four-point play by All-Filipino Cup Finals MVP Larry Fonacier, knotting the game at 56-all. The Texters kept pouring it on, with Ryan Reyes and Kelly Williams connecting from distance as well, snatching a five-point advantage with a quarter left, 67-62.
But that turned out to be TNT's brightest spot in the game as they seemed drained to start the final period. B-MEG quickly rattled off five points to tie the game, and after a Harvey split at the line, the Llamados scored another seven to make it 74-68. At that point, Coach Cone began to slow down the game, countering the Talk 'N Text scores methodically.
But still Talk 'N Text came on. A clutch triple by Jimmy Alapag made it 80-75, and the man known as "Mighty Mouse" canned another trey a few plays later to make it a four-point deficit, 39 seconds left.
Jimmy Alapag did his best to keep the Texters in the game with two big threes late.The Texters then got a golden opportunity after a fouled Bowles missed two charities with 28.5 seconds left, 86-82, but off a timeout they went for the quick three, and Ranidel De Ocampo's shot did not connect. After Yap halved his free throws to make it 87-82 with 20.2 remaining, Marc Pingris came up with a crucial steal during the TNT possession, clinching the victory for B-MEG.
Peter June Simon dropped 18 points on the Texters on near-flawless 9-of-11 shooting. Denzel Bowles added a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while the frontline of Marc Pingris and Joe Devance had 11 markers each, plus a combined nine boards.
Rafi Reavis was a demon on the glass, finishing with a team-high 12 rebounds. Those caroms, togetther with that of Pingris and Devance, helped B-MEG get up and down the court, traditionally the strength of their opponents. The Llamados out-scored the Texters 14-11 in fast break points, an achievement given that they norm just nine on the run.
Talk and Text drew a 25-13 performance from Donnell Harvey, but the support was not there to back him up. The starting backcourt of Jimmy Alapag and Ryan Reyes flourished with a total of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 11 dimes, but there was precious little beyond them.
One big problem of the Texters was there inability to convert at the free throw line. Entering the game, they shot 70.65 percent from the stripe, a top-four clip in the league. Past opening tip though, TNT missed 20 out of their 36 charities, leading head coach Chot Reyes to say in the post-game presser, "We were given free throws but we refused to accept them.
"If we made 50 percent of what we missed, we would have won."
Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday at the Big Dome. Cone and his Llamados will be shooting for back-to-back wins, but even he admits it will be a tough feat.
"To win back-to-back takes a special effort," Cone said. Only Wednesday will tell if the Llamados have what their coach speaks of.

The scores:
BMEG 88 - Bowles 25, Simon 18, Devance 11, Pingris 11, Yap 9, Barroca 4, Intal 3, Reavis 3, Urbiztondo 2, De Ocampo 2, Villanueva 0
TNT 82 - Harvey 25, Alapag 12, Reyes 10, Fonacier 8, Williams 6, Dillinger 5, Castro 5, De Ocampo 5, Carey 4, Peek 2, Gamalinda 0, Aguilar 0
Quarter scoring: 25-14, 48-40, 62-67, 88-82

Pink Pussy - Short Story

http://kittenwallpaper.org/wp-content/uploads/wallpapers/cute-cat-playing.jpg

Post no bill - Free verse

Ako’y nilikha
mula sa dalawang apoy na pinagdikit.
ikinulong ng limang buwan
bago iwanan sa sulok ng kadiliman.
At sa pagtuntong ng ika’siyam,
gagapangin kita.

Ako’y itinali
sa isang nilalang na kauri
subalit nagsawa rin at mula sa kadiliman
nanuot sa aking katawan
ang kakaibang pwersang kumawala
mula sa tansing nakabigkis
At ngayong ako’y malaya na
maghahanap na ako ng iba.

Ako’y nagkasala
sa aking pangungutang
sapagkat hindi ko napunan
ang puwang ng kawalan.
Kaya ang kabayaran—
kamatayan.

Wag kang magsaya
sapagkat bago ako hatulan,
isasama kita sa aking libingan.

P.S. Iyo ang huling patak. Akin ang huling halakhak.

Tisyu - Free verse

Nagdaan na ang anim na buwan
walong araw
at labindalawang oras.

Kung dati,
panyo mo ang dumadampi
sa pisngi kong binaha
ng luha.

Ngayon ay sapat na ako
sa kapirasong telang
ginamit ko kanina
makapaglabas lang ng sama ng loob.

P.S. Di na kita iiwan pa.

New moon - Free Verse

His grunting smiles

consume my hub,

but in this battle

its I who will prevail
and soon, you will expire
flesh by flesh.

Speechless - Tanka

Silence is our talk

bodies curled apostrophes

with no words between.

We open up like flowers,

then gaze as petals collapse.

Queen of Hearts - Tanka

Music initiates
the gloomy tone of the night
careless,  sway by sway
Searching for the right woman
It was you, no more, no less.

Refill - Haiku

Break open my heart

load with sunlight and music

seal it with your lips.

Hallucinations - Haiku

Dreamy stars at night

cuddling up to me real tight

Soon they will explode.

Solutions to Exponents and Radicals Quiz

http://www.salem.k12.va.us/staff/jlineberry/RadicalBook.gif

3x – 3x-1 – 3x-2    = 3x - 3x/3 - 3x/32
                        = 3x (1 – 1/3 – 1/9)
                        = 3x (5/9)
                        = 3x (5/32)
3x – 3x-1 – 3x-2    = 5 x 3x-2

2. Solution:
[x – √(1-x)]1/2 = 1 - √x                square both sides
x – √(1-x) = 1 - 2√x + x              cancel x
-√(1-x) = 1 - 2√x                        square both sides
1 – x = 1 - 4√x + 4x
4√x = 5x                                   square both sides
25x2 – 16x = 0
x(25x – 16) = 0
x = 0 and x = 16/25

3. Solution:
[(x2y3z-2)-3 (x-3yz3)-1/2] ÷ (xyz-3)5/2
        = [(x-6y-9z6) (x3/2y-1/2z-3/2)] ÷ (x-5/2y-5/2z15/2)
        = [x-9/2y-19/2z9/2] ÷ (x-5/2y-5/2z15/2)
        = 1 / x-5/2+9/2 y-5/2+19/2 z15/2-9/2
        = 1 / x2y7z3

4. Solution:
27x = 9y ;   33x = 32y, thus 3x = 2y and y = 3x/2
81y3-x = 243
813x/2 3-x = 243
(34)3x/2 3-x = 243
36x 3-x = 243
35x = 35
5x = 5; x=1

5. Solution:
(xy-1 / x-2y3)4 ÷ (x2y-2 / x-3y3)3
        = (xy-1 / x-2y3)4 * (x-3y3 / x2y-2)3
        = x4y-4 / x-8y12 * x-9y9 / x6y-6
        = x4-9-(-8)-6 y-4+9-12-(-6)
        = x-3 y-1
        = 1/x3y

6. Solution:
34x = (32)2x
34x = 92x
9x.9x = 5(5)
92x = 25
34x = 25

7. Solution:
{4x / [x - (x2 – 4)1/2]} * {[x + (x2 – 4)1/2] / [x + (x2 – 4)1/2]}
= [4x2 + 4x (x2 – 4)1/2 ] / x2 – (x2 – 4)
= {4x [x + (x2 – 4)1/2]} / 4
= x[x + (x2-4)1/2]

8. Solution:
[a1/2 ÷ (a1/2 - a1/2 b1/2)] * [(a1/2 + a1/2 b1/2) / (a1/2 + a1/2 b1/2)]
= (a + a√b) / (a – ab)
= [a(1 + √b)] / a(1 – b)
= (1 + b1/2) ÷ (1 – b)

9. Solution:
3x5x+1 = 6x+2;      3x5x51 = 6x 62
(3x5)x 5     = 15x 5      = 6x 36
15x/6x        = (15/6)x   = 36/5       taking the logarithms of both sides
xln (15/6)   = ln(36/5);
x = 2.1544

10. Solution:
(am)(an) = 100000       (1)   an/am = 10 (2)
Multiply (1) and (2)
(am)(an) * an/am = 100000 * 10
(an)2 = 1000000
an = 1000 and am = 100
amn = (am)n = 100000
(100)n = 100000
n = log(100000) / log(100);  n = 2.5
an = a2.5 = 1000; a = (1000)1/2.5 = 15.849

DenviantBlog Official Kick-Off!

Greetings! Denviant(s),
          Initially, we want to congratulate all individuals for the successful start of the 'Beta ver.' of our Blogsite [URL] (denviant.blogspot.com)
          We humbly thank God who made things possible, who gave us time, talent and tolerance to build this blog. We greatly appreciate those people who viewed, liked, followed, shared and subscribed our posts, to all who had been part of the unexpected impression of 1213 since it was opened.
          So as we approach our Official Release on May 1, 2012 we felt that it needs metamorphosis through changing various designs on the mark, adding some elements and making the site even cleaner, maximizing the overall space more efficiently and creating wider range in the least topic.

  • Logo and Banner

     The snip of the gear and brain seems doesn't make any sense there, but constructively it only represents the roots of the site content (i.e. engineering stuff, trivia)

  • Template  Design
      Fresh new  blog site design, we still considered what is luring on the audience but preserved its simplicity and user-friendly interface.

  • Web Articles

     One of the niche of this blog is journalism. We gonna feed  in news out of any public interest, may it be world or local, sports, technology & science or simply a buzz.

  • Downloads and Tutorials
     First things first, its free for all. We gonna give out links for installers and try to make quick&easy tips on how to navigate the software too.

  • Advertisements

  We're very blessed to have some sponsors. But somehow I asked myself, "do ads make a site alive"? Not always, it depends on your goal. If you want to deal greater bucks, you should sell something online. But if you just enjoy blogging, exploring the web and helping people out, maybe  simple ads would do.
